Overview of agrometeorological situation of May 28, 2024

The loss of soil moisture continues under the influence of increased temperature conditions and precipitation deficiency. Passing short-term rains do not significantly affect soil moisture. According to the latest observational data, weak humidification of the upper 10-centimeter soil layer is observed in most of the republic. In the western regions of the Brest region, in the south of the Gomel region and in places in the central part of the country, the topsoil is completely dried up.
In the near future, due to the uneven distribution and short-term nature of the expected rains, the soil moisture content in most parts of the country will not increase significantly.
