Warm weather and plenty of moisture in the soil in most parts of the country provide good conditions for vegetative growth and ear formation of grain crops. Winter cereal crops have thawed in most parts of the country. Stem growth continues in wheat in the northern regions. In spring cereal crops on the main massifs the ear and stem growth is going on. Heavy rains in some areas caused soil overwatering, water stagnation is observed in lowland areas, which makes it difficult to carry out agrotechnical measures for crop care.
In the coming days, agrometeorological situation will not change significantly. The expected rains will still complicate forage harvesting operations, especially hay-making.
