Overview of agrometeorological situation of June 26, 2024
Warm weather and sufficient moisture supply in the main areas contribute to the formation of a corn crop.
The pace of corn development is slightly ahead of last year's. According to the latest observational data, leaf formation continues in corn – there are mainly 9-11 leaves on one plant, in places 13-15 leaves were formed in early crops in the southern part of the republic and in some areas in the east of the Minsk region. In later crops (the end of May), the 7th leaf is marked. Visual assessments of the condition of corn in the observation areas are mostly good.
In the near future, the abundance of heat will be favorable for the growth and development of heat-loving crops, in particular corn.
