Overview of agrometeorological situation of June 16, 2023
Complex agrometeorological conditions are still developing for the accumulation of vegetative mass and the formation of an ear of grain crops. The development of grain in the main arrays is ahead of last year's deadlines. The duration of interphase periods is reduced under the influence of drought. Many weather stations in the observed fields note damage to grain crops – yellowing, twisting and drying of leaves, in places the drying of plants has begun. At the same time, spring grain crops suffer more from drought.
In the near future, rains expected mainly in the western half of Belarus should improve the moisture supply of crops. However, in most of the country, the lack of moisture will remain, which is unfavorable for the formation of ear productivity, the period of grain filling may be reduced.
