Overview of agrometeorological situation of July 7, 2023
Grain filling is observed on the main arrays of grain crops. The predominance of a moderate temperature regime in the near future and the abundance of moisture in most areas will contribute to an increase in the duration of grain filling. At the same time, in places in the northern half of the republic, where precipitation fell much less than in the rest of the country, the lack of moisture in the soil persists.
Winter barley is maturing, waxy ripeness is observed, according to a number of weather stations, the barley has matured to full ripeness, its harvesting is carried out. With some advance of last year's dates, the beginning of wax ripeness in a number of regions of the southern half of the republic was also noted in other winter crops. Part of the grain crops affected by the prolonged drought are harvested by farms for fodder purposes.
