Overview of agrometeorological situation of July 30, 2021
In most areas, the formation of reproductive organs is under way in maize, in the Brest region, grain filling has begun on the earliest crops, and in the late June crops in the north-west of the republic, leaf formation continues. Despite the later sowing, the development of maize is ahead of last year's dates. Crops in the observed fields are mostly in good condition. However, in the northern and eastern districts of the Gomel region, due to the influence of soil drought, maize has dried leaves, poor formation of reproductive organs, and in some areas, plants are drying out. The passing and expected rains will increase the moisture content in the soil, the agrometeorological conditions for the formation of the corn grain yield will improve.
