Overview of agrometeorological situation of July 26, 2024
According to the latest observational data, potato blooms have ended in most areas, and natural wilting of the tops has begun in some observed fields in the western part of the republic. Agrometeorological conditions are not developing in the best way for the growth of tubers. The average soil temperature at a depth of 10 cm is above optimal and is mainly +22 +26°C.
Visual assessments of the potato condition are predominantly good. The average mass of tubers under one bush at the end of the second decade of July is close to last year's values for the same period.
In the near future, due to a decrease in the temperature regime, the agrometeorological conditions for the formation of the potato crop will improve.
