Overview of agrometeorological situation of July 17, 2026
The development of corn and the accumulation of green mass are proceeding somewhat ahead of last year's schedule. According to the latest observational data, corn continues its leaf formation phase. On early sowings, tasseling is underway, and flowering has been observed in some places – the formation of reproductive organs has begun. Moisture supply for corn is good across most areas. A shortage of soil moisture persists in places in the southern regions of the country, which worsens conditions for green mass accumulation there. On the main fields, the condition of corn is good, and in the Vitebsk region – satisfactory.
At the beginning of next week, due to a decrease in temperature conditions, the heat supply for corn will somewhat deteriorate.
The rains expected in the near future will in some places slow down the pace of harvesting and hinder haymaking.
