Overview of agrometeorological situation of February 4, 2024

According to the results of the regrowth carried out at the end of January winter crops have normal viability. In all selected samples of winter grain crops and in most samples of winter rapeseed complete regrowth was observed or sparseness was insignificant. The good growth results are due to the absence of dangerous agrometeorological phenomena during the past winter period. During abnormally warm periods winter crops and perennial grasses had weak vegetation.
In the near future the expected frosts should not pose a threat to most winter crops. If the temperature regime decreases and there is not enough snow cover there may be a risk of damage to the least frost-resistant crops, in particular winter rapeseed.
