Overview of agrometeorological situation of August 8, 2023
Grain crops on the uncollected areas have mostly reached full ripeness. Unstable weather does not allow us to maintain high harvest rates, because of rains, the working time of combines is reduced. Passing rains moisten the stem and ear, the conditions for drying the grain deteriorate.
In many areas of the country, where the most intense rains took place the day before, waterlogging of the upper soil layer is observed. In the rest of the territory, the topsoil is in a moderately moist state.
Past and expected rains will increase the moisture content in the soil and in combination with low temperatures will provide good conditions for the growth and development of late crops, grass regrowth.
