In most of the republic, conditions for cultivating the soil for sowing winter cereals and sowing winter rapeseed are quite favorable. The top layer of soil in most regions of the republic is well moistened, which facilitates all types of field work. At the same time, in many southwestern regions, in places in the central region and in the east of the country, where there is a shortage of precipitation, poor moisture remains, which, combined with cold weather, worsens conditions for germination of seeds and seedlings of winter rapeseed, root crop growth, and grass regrowth.
In the near future, against the background of the expected increase in the temperature regime, the agrometeorological conditions for the maturation of corn grains and the accumulation of sugars in sugar beet root crops will improve. The forecast rains will be short-lived and should not complicate the completion of harvesting of grain crops, forage harvesting and potato harvesting.
