Overview of agrometeorological situation of August 15, 2023
The formation of the corn crop on the main massifs takes place with optimal moisture supply. According to the latest observation data, grain is being poured on the main arrays of corn – milk ripeness has come ahead of last year's deadlines. In the northern region and in the east of the country, the formation of cobs mainly continues. In some places, early crops in the southern part of the republic began to ripen. The predominant height of corn is two meters, two and a half meters, in some observed fields - up to three meters. According to a number of weather stations in the north of the republic, the height of corn is less than two meters. Visual assessments of the condition of crops in most areas remain good.
In the near future, an increase in the temperature regime against the background of sufficient moisture supply will contribute to the formation of a corn grain harvest.
