Overview of agrometeorological situation of April 9, 2021
According to the latest observations in the north-eastern part of Belarus and in some central regions, waterlogging of the soil remains, which complicates field work. In the rest of the republic, the upper 10-centimeter soil layer is in a moderately moist state. The average temperature of the topsoil has dropped and is +2 .. + 4°С, in the Brest region - +4 .. +6°С.
The agrometeorological situation is expected to improve in the coming days. An increase in the temperature regime will contribute to the drying out and warming of the upper soil layer, which will increase the pace of field work and sowing of spring crops, especially in the northeastern part of the country. The vegetation of winter grain crops, winter rapeseed, perennial grasses is intensified.
