Overview of agrometeorological situation of April 4, 2024
Due to the cold snap, the agrometeorological conditions for field agricultural work and spring sowing have become more complicated. The past precipitation, which is strong in many areas, has led to waterlogging of previously dried soils. According to visual observations, the upper 10-centimeter soil layer is heavily moistened in most of Belarus. In many areas of the northern half of Belarus a small snow cover formed on the morning of April 4.
The agrometeorological situation will improve at the end of this week and at the beginning of next week. The expected increase in temperature and the gradual cessation of precipitation will contribute to the drying and warming of the soil.
