Overview of agrometeorological situation of April 12, 2024
According to the results of instrumental determination of soil moisture in most areas productive moisture reserves are good, in the north-eastern part of the republic and in some central regions moisture reserves are increased. The top 10-centimeter soil layer in most areas is in a moderately moist state. The upper layer on heavy loams in the northwestern part of the Vitebsk region is still heavily moistened. It is difficult to carry out field work in such areas. The average soil temperature dropped slightly at a depth of 10 cm.
The moderate temperature regime expected in the near future combined with an abundance of moisture, will contribute to the formation of productivity of winter crops and the emergence of spring seedlings.
