Overview of agrometeorological situation of April 11, 2023

An increase in the temperature regime contributes to the drying and warming of the upper layer of the soil. According to visual observations in most of the territory of Belarus, the upper 10-cm soil layer is in a moderately wet state. The average soil temperature at a depth of 10 cm has increased and is +8 +11°C. In the Vitebsk and Mogilev regions, waterlogging of the soil is still preserved.
In the near future, weather conditions will contribute to the germination of grain and the emergence of seedlings of spring grain crops, the development of winter crops and the growth of perennial grasses. In the north-eastern region of the republic, the maturation of waterlogged soils will accelerate, which will make it possible to activate spring sowing here.
