Information on exceedances of standards for ambient air quality (from 19 to 25 November 2020)
State institution «Republican center for hydrometeorology, control of radioactive contamination and environmental monitoring» informs about exceeding of the quality standards of pollutants in the atmospheric air of cities of Belarus for the period from 19 to 25 November 2020.
In the air of the city of Gomel near Barykina str. on November 19, at 11:40 an excess of the quality standard for carbon oxide was recorded 1.3 times, at 12:00 was 1.1 times (the South wind was observed at a speed 6 m/s, haze, air temperature + 0.9°C, relative humidity was 98%).
In the air of Zhlobin in the area of Prigorodnaya str. on November 19, the average daily concentration of solid particles of fraction size up to 2.5 micron exceeded the quality standard by 1.1 times (a Southeast wind was observed, the air temperature varied from +0.5°С to +3,3°С, relative humidity - from 90% to 100%); on November 20 was 1.6 times (in the first half of the day the South wind prevailed, in the second half of the day - the North-West wind, the air temperature varied in the range from +1.0°С to +4.3°С, relative humidity was from 82 % to 99%).
In the air of Novopolotsk near the street Molodezhnaya, 135 on November 24 at 19:00, the concentration of nitrogen dioxide was 1.1 MAC (a Southwestern wind with a speed of 2 m/s was observed, the air temperature was +3.5°C, and the relative humidity was 85%).
