Information on exceedances of standards for ambient air quality (17 October - 23 October 2019)

In the air of Zhlobin (Prigorodnaya street), average daily concentration of PP-2,5 exceeded quality standards by 1,3 on October, 17. The south wind, west wind and south-west wind of 1-3 m/s prevailed, air temperature ranged from +9,8°С to +18,9°С, relative 

humidity – from 42% to 72%. Average daily concentration of PP-2,5 was 3,0 MPC on October, 19. In the morning the soft south-east and the south wind prevailed, in the evening – the wind of various direction, windless conditions, air temperature ranged from +9,8°С to +19,5°С, relative humidity – from 52% to 87%. There was an exceedance of quality standards on PP-2,5 by 2,7 on October, 20. The soft south wind prevailed, weft and windless conditions, air temperature ranged from +10,0°С to +19,4°С, relative humidity – from 58% to 80%. Average daily concentration of PP-10 was 1,6 MPC on October, 21. In the morning the soft south wind prevailed, in the evening – the wind of various directions, weft and windless conditions, air temperature ranged from +9,2°С to +20,8°С, relative humidity – from 51% to 94%. Average daily concentration of PP-2,5 exceeded quality standards by 2,1 on October, 22. The wind of various directions prevailed, weft, foggy and windless conditions, , air temperature ranged from +8,4°С to +20,8°С, relative humidity – from 57% to 97%. Average daily concentration of PP-2,5 was 1,7 MPC on October, 23. The wind of various directions prevailed, weft, foggy and windless conditions, air temperature ranged from +7,3°С to +18,7°С, relative humidity – from 69% to 97%.

In the air of Brest (Severnaya street), there was an increase of air contamination level with nitrogen dioxide and nitrogen oxide from 20:20 to 00:20 on October, 18 – maximum concentrations ranged from 1,1 to 1,2 MPC. The wind of various directions prevailed, weft and windless conditions, air temperature ranged from +8,8°С to +10,9°С, relative humidity – from 92% to 96%. Maximum one-time concentrations of nitrogen oxide ranges from 1,2 to 1,3 MPC from 08:20 to 09:40 on October, 22. There was a short-term (during 20 minutes) exceedance of quality standards on nitrogen dioxide by 1,1 at 09:30. The wind of various directions prevailed, weft and windless conditions, air temperature was +8,0°С, relative humidity – 97%. Average daily concentration of PP-10 was 2,7 MPC in the area of Severnaya street on October, 22. There was a short-term (during 20 minutes) exceedance of quality standards on nitrogen dioxide by 1,1 at 21:00. The wind of various directions prevailed, weft and windless conditions, air temperature ranged from +8,0°С to +21,1°С, relative humidity – from 63% to 97%. Average daily concentration of PP-10 was 3,2 MPC on October, 23. The wind of various directions prevailed, weft, foggy and windless conditions, air temperature ranged from +9,0°С to +12,2°С, relative humidity – from 97% to 100%.

In the air of Gomel (Barykin street), there were short-term exceedances of quality standards on carbon monoxide by 1,1-1,2 at 14:20 on October, 21 and at 05:00 on October, 23. The south wind of 3 m/s prevailed on October 21, air temperature was +20,1°С, relative humidity – 56%. The south wind of 2 m/s prevailed on October 23, air temperature was +9,6°С, relative humidity – 100%.

In the air of Minsk (Heroes of 120th Division street), there was a small short-term exceedance (by 1,1) of quality standards on nitrogen dioxide at 18:00 on October, 21. There was an increase of air contamination level with nitrogen oxide from 18:40 to 21:20 – maximum one-time concentrations ranged from 1,1 to 1,4 MPC. The wind of various directions prevailed, weft and windless conditions, air temperature ranged from +10,1°С to +14,9°С, relative humidity – from 85% to 96%. Maximum one-time concentration of nitrogen oxide were 1,5 MPC and 1,1 MPC from 08:40 to 09:20 respectively in the area mentioned above on October, 22. The wind of various directions prevailed, weft and windless conditions, air temperature was +9,8°С, relative humidity – 98%.

In the air of Mogilev (Krupskaya alley), average daily concentration of PP-10 was 1,8 MPC on October, 21. The soft south-west wind prevailed, wind of various directions, windless conditions, air temperature ranged from +9,4°С to +19,8°С, relative humidity – from 60% to 94%.

In the air of Novopolotsk, concentration of particulate pollutants (non-determined in composition silt/aerosol) was 1,2 MPC and concentration of nitrogen dioxide was 1,1 MPC at 07:00 on October, 17. The south wind of 2 m/s prevailed, air temperature was +13,4°С, relative humidity – 87%. Concentrations of particulate pollutants (non-determined in composition silt/aerosol) were 1,2 MPC and 1,4 MPC in the area of 135, Molodezhnaya street at 19:00 on October, 18 and 19 respectively. The soft south wind prevailed on October 18, air temperature was +15,2°С, relative humidity – 77%. The soft south wind prevailed on October 19, air temperature was +16,3°С, relative humidity – 70%.

It has to be noted that there are unfavorable meteorological conditions across the country these days that cause accumulation of contaminants in the air (absence of atmospheric precipitations, soft wind, weft and windless conditions, fog).
