Overview of the hydrological situation of September 14, 2018
As at September 14, there is an increase of water levels with the intensity 1-25 cm per day on the Zapadnaya Dvina near Polotsk-Verhnedvinsk, on the Viliya near Mikhalishki, on the Berezina near Svetlogorsk and some of them affluents as well as on the affluents of the Neman, the Zapadnyi Bug and the Pripyat. Decrease of water levels is observed along the rivers mentioned below and on the Dnieper, the Sozh and Pripyat.
Unfavourable conditions for river transport are observed on the Zapadnaya Dvina near Vitebsk, on the Neman near Grodno, on the Dnieper near Mogilev, Zhlobin, Rechitsa and Loev, on the Berezina near Bobruysk and Svetlogorsk and on the Sozh near Krichev, Gomel and Slavgorod. Water levels here are below the marks that limit shipping.
Water temperature in the rivers and water bodies is 12-21°С.
In the coming days, a small increase of water levels is expected.
