Overview of hydrological situation of October 31, 2019
Within the previous period (October 26-30), fluctuations of water levels with the tendency to decrease were observed on the rivers with the result that water level on the Berezina near Svetlogorsk decreased below the mark that limits shipping again.
As at October 31, decrease of water levels with the intensity 1-6 cm per day is observed on the rivers; small (1-5 cm per day) increase of water levels is observed on the Zapadnaya Dvina near Polotsk, the Neman near Grodno, the Sozh near Slavgorod, on some of its affluents as well as on certain affluents of the Zapadnyi Bug and the Pripyat.
Unfavorable conditions for river transport are observed on the Neman near Grodno, the Dnieper near Mogilev, Zhlobin, Rechitsa and Loyev, the Berezina near Bobruysk and Svetlogorsk and on the Sozh near Krichev, Gomel and Slavgorod.
Water temperature has decreased and now it ranges from 1,3 °С to 10°С.
Decrease of water levels will predominate till the end of this week.
