Overview of hydrological situation of February 28, 2019

 
Within the previous day the Nacha (affluent of the Zapadnaya Dvina) near Nacha village and canal Ivnya-Bonda (affluent of the Berezina) near Budka village broke up from ice. The Berezina near Borisov, the Drut (affluent of the Dnieper) near Gorodishche village, the Basya (affluent of the Sozh) near Khilkovichi village and the Ptich (affluent of the Pripyat) near 1st Slobodka village completely freed from ice features.
Freeze-up and freeze up with ice leads are observed on the Zapadnaya Dvina near Surazh, Ulla village and Verkhnedvinsk and most of its affluents, on the Dnieper near Orsha on the site Rechitsa-Love, on the Berezina on the site Berezino-Svetlogorsk and on the Sozh near Krichev. Ice thickness on lakes and water bodies is about 26-33 cm, despite ice thickness it is dangerous to go out on ice because of crevasses and areas with open water surface.
Fluctuations of water levels with the intensity 1-15 cm per day remain on the rivers of Belarus. Water is on the flood land on the Bychok (affluent of the Pripyat) near Ozerany village, on the Styr near Lopatino village, the Sluch near Lenin village and on the Narev (affluent of the Zapadnyi Bug) near Nemerzha village.
In the coming days fluctuations of water levels will remain on the rivers, weather conditions will slow processes of ice destruction on water bodies of the country.
