According to the Republican Centre for Hydrometeorology, Control of Radioactive Contamination and Environmental Monitoring, the radiation situation in the republic remains stable.
Gamma radiation dose rate levels in Brest, Grodno and Minsk are 0.10 µSv/h, in Vitebsk, Gomel and Mogilev – 0.11 µSv/h, which corresponds to natural background radiation levels.
At the radiation monitoring observation points located in the cities of Bragin and Slavgorod, gamma radiation dose rate levels are 0.45 µSv/h and 0.18 µSv/h respectively. These values correspond to established long-term averages and are attributable to the consequences of the accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant.
The measurement results of gamma radiation dose rates from the Belhydromet radiation monitoring network are available on the website: https://rad.org.by.
