According to the Republican Center for Hydrometeorology, Radioactive Contamination Control, and Environmental Monitoring, the radiation situation in the republic remains stable.
The gamma radiation dose rate levels in Brest, Vitebsk, Gomel, Grodno, Minsk and Mogilev are 0.10 μSv/h, which corresponds to natural background radiation levels.
At the radiation monitoring observation points located in the towns of Bragin and Slavgorod, the gamma radiation dose rate levels are 0.46 μSv/h and 0.18 μSv/h, respectively, which correspond to the established long-term values and are due to the consequences of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant accident.
The results of gamma radiation dose rate measurements from the Belhydromet radiation monitoring network are available on the website: https://rad.org.by.
