Information on the radiation situation on the territory of the Republic of Belarus on May 20, 2026

According to the data of the Republican Center for Hydrometeorology, Radioactive Contamination Control and Environmental Monitoring, the radiation situation in the republic remains stable.
Ambient gamma radiation dose rate levels in Brest, Vitebsk, Grodno, Minsk are 0.10 μSv/h, and in Gomel and Mogilev are 0.11 μSv/h, which corresponds to the natural radiation background values.
At the radiation monitoring observation points located in the towns of Bragin and Slavgorod, the ambient gamma radiation dose rate levels are 0.45 μSv/h and 0.18 μSv/h, respectively. These values correspond to the established long-term levels and are due to the consequences of the accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant.
The results of gamma radiation dose rate measurements at the radiation monitoring network of Belhydromet are available on the website: https://rad.org.by.
