Information on the radiation situation on the territory of the Republic of Belarus on August 5, 2026

According to the Republican Center for Hydrometeorology, Radioactive Contamination Control, and Environmental Monitoring, the radiation situation in the country remains stable.
The gamma radiation dose rate levels in Brest, Gomel, Grodno, Minsk are 0.10 µSv/h, in Vitebsk and Mogilev are 0.11 µSv/h, which corresponds to the natural background radiation levels.
At the radiation monitoring observation points located in the cities of Bragin and Slavgorod, the gamma radiation dose rate levels are 0.49 µSv/h and 0.18 µSv/h, respectively, which correspond to established long-term average values and are attributable to the consequences of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant accident.
