Information on the radiation situation on the territory of the Republic of Belarus on August 21, 2026

According to the data from the Republican Center for Hydrometeorology, Radioactive Contamination Control, and Environmental Monitoring, the radiation situation in the republic remains stable.
The gamma radiation dose rate levels in Brest, Vitebsk, Grodno, Minsk are 0.10 µSv/h, in Gomel are 0.11 µSv/h, and in Mogilev are 0.12 µSv/h, which correspond to the natural background radiation values.
At the radiation monitoring observation points located in the towns of Bragin and Slavgorod, the gamma radiation dose rate levels are 0.48 µSv/h and 0.18 µSv/h, respectively, which correspond to the established long-term average values and are attributable to the consequences of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant accident.
