Information on the radiation situation on the territory of the Republic of Belarus on April 17, 2026

According to the Republican Center for Hydrometeorology, Radioactive Contamination Control and Environmental Monitoring, the radiation situation in the country remains stable.
Gamma dose rate levels in Brest, Vitebsk, Grodno and Minsk are 0.10 µSv/h, in Gomel – 0.11 µSv/h and in Mogilev – 0.12 µSv/h, which correspond to natural background radiation values.
At radiation monitoring observation points located in the towns of Bragin and Slavgorod, gamma dose rate levels are 0.43 µSv/h and 0.18 µSv/h, respectively. These values correspond to the established long-term average levels and are attributed to the consequences of the accident at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant.
The results of gamma dose rate measurements from the Belhydromet radiation monitoring network are available on the website: https://rad.org.by
