According to the Republican Center for Hydrometeorology, Control of Radioactive Contamination and Environmental Monitoring, during the period from April 9 to April 16, 2026, the radiation situation in the republic remains stable.
The gamma radiation dose rate levels in the cities of Brest, Vitebsk, Grodno, and Minsk are 0.10 µSv/h and in the cities of Gomel and Mogilev – 0.11 µSv/h, which corresponds to natural background radiation levels.
At the radiation monitoring observation points located in the cities of Bragin and Slavgorod, the gamma radiation dose rate levels are 0.43 µSv/h and 0.18 µSv/h, respectively. These values correspond to the established long-term average levels and are a consequence of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant accident.
The measurement results of the gamma radiation dose rate from the Belhydromet radiation monitoring network are available on the website: https://rad.org.by.
