According to the data of the Republican Center for Hydrometeorology, Control of Radioactive Contamination and Environmental Monitoring, during the period from 2 to 9 April 2026, the radiation situation in the republic remains stable.
The gamma radiation dose rate levels in the cities of Brest, Vitebsk, Grodno and Minsk are 0.10 μSv/h and in the cities of Gomel and Mogilev – 0.11 μSv/h, which corresponds to natural background radiation levels.
At the radiation monitoring observation points located in the cities of Bragin and Slavgorod, the gamma radiation dose rate levels are 0.44 μSv/h and 0.18 μSv/h, respectively. These values correspond to the established long-term average levels and are attributed to the consequences of the accident at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant.
