Information on the radiation situation on the territory of the Republic of Belarus (from 16 to 23 April, 2026)

According to the Republican Center for Hydrometeorology, Radioactive Contamination Control, and Environmental Monitoring, during the period from April 16 to April 23, 2026, the radiation situation in the republic remains stable.
Gamma radiation dose rate levels in the cities of Brest, Vitebsk, Grodno and Minsk are 0.10 μSv/h, in the cities of Gomel and Mogilev – 0.11 μSv/h, which corresponds to natural background radiation levels.
At the radiation monitoring observation points located in the cities of Bragin and Slavgorod, the gamma radiation dose rate levels are 0.44 μSv/h and 0.18 μSv/h, respectively. These values correspond to established long-term levels and are attributable to the consequences of the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant accident.
The measurement results of gamma radiation dose rate on the Belhydromet radiation monitoring network are available on the website https://rad.org.by.
