The state institution "Republican Center for Hydrometeorology, Control of Radioactive Contamination and Environmental Monitoring" informs about the exceedances of the MPC standards for pollutants in the atmospheric air of the cities of the republic for the period from October 17 to 23, 2024.

In the air of Novopolotsk in the area of the administrative building on Molodezhnaya Street, 49, building 1 on October 18, 2024, at 17:40, the concentration of nitrogen dioxide was 1.02 MPC, at 18:00 the concentration of nitrogen dioxide was 1.11 MPC, at 18:00 the concentration nitrogen oxide was 1.03 MPC (there was a south-easterly wind with a speed of 1 m/s, the air temperature was +5.7 °C, relative humidity was 83%).

In the air of Zhlobin in the area of Prigorodnaya street, 12 on October 21, 2024, the average daily concentration of solid particles, fractions up to 2.5 microns in size was 1.20 MPC (calm prevailed, wind gusts up to 3 m/s were observed, air temperature ranged from +1.8°C to +14.8°C, relative humidity rangead from 42% to 98%), on October 22, 2024  the average daily concentration of solid particles, fractions up to 2.5 microns in size was 1.30 MPC (calm prevailed, wind gusts up to 4 m/s were observed, air temperature ranged from +0.6°C to +16.2°C, relative humidity ranged from 49% to 85%).

Due to the maintenance work carried out by the manufacturer of gas analyzers with a set of sensor devices before 11.01.2024, the exceedances in the towns of Bereza, Dobrush, Smorgon and Molodechno will not be taken into account.
