From September 16 to 22, Minsk, like many cities around the world, is taking part in the annual international Mobility Week.
This campaign is aimed at popularizing environmentally friendly and healthy modes of movement, designed to reduce dependence on personal motor transport and make our cities more comfortable and cleaner.
The culmination of Mobility Week will be the traditional city environmental campaign "Car-Free Day," which will take place on September 22. On this day, we encourage all Minsk residents and guests of the capital to give up using personal cars, giving preference to walking, bicycles, public transport or other alternative modes of movement. This is not only a contribution to improving the environment, but also a great opportunity to discover the city from a new side, to feel its rhythm and atmosphere.
Within the framework of Mobility Week, Belhydromet will actively join in holding events aimed at monitoring the state of the environment and promoting a healthy lifestyle.
On September 16, 2026, Belhydromet will organize a bicycle ride. This event is intended to clearly demonstrate the advantages of using a bicycle as an accessible, environmentally friendly and health-beneficial mode of transport.
Route survey of atmospheric air: on September 21 and 22, 2026, studies of atmospheric air quality will be conducted in key districts of the capital. The survey will cover the intersection of Ya. Kolas and Kulman streets, the territory of Gorky Park and the recreation area "Museum of Boulders." The results obtained will be published on the official website of Belhydromet so that everyone can familiarize themselves with up-to-date information on the state of the air in the city.
