On June 22, the Day of National Remembrance of the Victims of the Great Patriotic War and the Genocide of the Belarusian People, a delegation from Belhydromet headed by Deputy Chief Ekaterina Gladun took part in a meeting-requiem held at the "Trostenets" memorial complex.
This sad event was a tribute to the memory of the millions of Belarusians who fell during the war and a reminder of the terrible crimes committed by the Nazis on Belarusian soil. "Trostenets" is the largest death camp in Belarus, a place of mass extermination of civilians and prisoners of war.
The participation of Belhydromet in the requiem rally underlines the importance of preserving historical memory and preventing a repeat of tragic events of the past. A representative of the Belhydromet laid flowers at the foot of the monument, observing a minute of silence in memory of the victims.
