On 1 May 2026, the Republic of Belarus celebrated Labour Day.
For Belhydromet employees, as well as for all Minsk residents and visitors to the capital, this day was truly bright and festive.
Traditionally, the Federation of Trade Unions organised May Day gatherings in all regions of the country. The focus was on working people: teams from organisations and enterprises, young people and veterans who continue the best labour traditions.
The largest venue for the May Day celebrations was the capital's Victory Park. Members of the Belhydromet staff, led by the Deputy Head of Belhydromet for Ideological Work, Viktoryia Nevadnichaya, also joined the festive events.
Guests enjoyed a rich holiday programme: interactive booths run by trade unions from various sectors, workshops, fairs and entertainment for both children and adults.
The atmosphere in the park was truly festive – no one had a chance to be bored!
Belhydromet specialists presented their achievements at the interactive booth of the Belarusian Trade Union of Forestry and Environmental Management Workers.

Each sectoral trade union showcased its best achievements and new developments, demonstrating the skill and creative approach of its employees. Belhydromet proudly represented its sector, showing that the work of meteorologists and environmental specialists involves not only precise measurements but also creativity and care for nature.
For Belhydromet, celebrating 1 May together has become a good tradition. Participating in the citywide celebration not only allows staff to relax and recharge with positive emotions but also highlights the importance of the hydrometeorological service's work for the well‑being of the country and its residents.
Everyone who came to the holiday left with a cheerful and uplifted mood, as well as unforgettable memories.
The Belhydromet team thanks the Federation of Trade Unions for organising such a bright and memorable event and eagerly looks forward to new meetings next year!
