Overview of hydrological situation of September 25, 2026

Over the past period (September 22-24), water levels in the country's rivers were rising due to precipitation.
As of September 25, water levels are almost everywhere continuing to rise in the rivers, with a daily intensity of up to 53 cm in the rivers of the Western Dvina basin, up to 18 cm in the Viliya, and up to 12 cm in the Neman, Dnieper, Berezina, and Sozh. In the rivers of the Pripyat basin, water levels are mostly steady.
On the Viliya near the village of Steshitsy and on the Ross River, a tributary of the Neman, near the village of Studenets, water levels are close to the marks at which water enters the floodplain.
Unfavorable conditions for river transport operations are observed on the Neman near Grodno, the Dnieper near Mogilev, Zhlobin, Rechitsa, and the urban settlement of Loyev, the Berezina near Bobruisk and Svetlogorsk, the Sozh near Krichev, Slavgorod, and Gomel, and the Pripyat near the village of Chernichi and Mozyr.
Water temperature in the rivers ranges from 10°C to 16°C, and in reservoirs from 13°C to 15°C.
In the coming days, water levels in the rivers will continue to rise, and water temperature will not change significantly.
