Overview of hydrological situation of May 25, 2026

During the past period (May 21–24), a decline in water levels prevailed on the country's rivers. As a result, conditions for river transport operations deteriorated on the Sozh River near the city of Krichev.
As of May 25, a decline in water levels with a daily intensity of 1-28 cm is observed on most rivers. A slight increase (1-4 cm per day) in water levels is only recorded on the Western Dvina River near the agricultural town of Ulla, on some of its tributaries, as well as on certain tributaries of the Western Bug, Dnieper, Berezina, and Pripyat rivers.
On the Viliya River near the agricultural town of Steshitsy and on the Sozh River tributary, the Iput River near the city of Dobrush, water levels exceed the floodplain inundation thresholds.
On the Neman River near the city of Grodno and on the Sozh River near the city of Krichev, water levels are below the navigation-limiting marks.
Water temperatures have risen and range from 14°C to 22°C in rivers, and from 13°C to 21°C in reservoirs.
In the coming days, water level fluctuations are expected on the rivers. On the Sozh River near the city of Slavgorod, the water level will drop below the dangerously low mark for navigation.
