Overview of hydrological situation of March 10, 2021

In the past day, on the Pronya river, a tributary of the Sozh, near the village of Letyagi, the water level reached a dangerous high level, according to the data of the observer of the hydrological point, no flooding was observed in the area of the post. 
As of March 10, on the Dnieper, Sozha, a greater extent of the Western Dvina and Berezina, some sections of the Neman and Pripyat, freeze-up is observed with a thickness of 5 cm to 28 cm, however, spaces with an open water surface are noted in the ice cover. On reservoirs and lakes, freeze-up is observed with a thickness of 22 cm to 34 cm, in some places in the ice cover polynyas are noted.
An increase in water levels with a daily intensity of 1-11 cm is observed over a greater length of the Neman, most rivers in the Dnieper, Berezina, Sozh and Pripyat basins. The water levels exceed the marks of the water outlet on the floodplain on the Neman near the village of Belitsa, Viliya near the village of Steshitsy, tributaries of the Western Bug rivers Lesnaya near the town of Kamenets and Narev near the village of Nemerzha, the Dnieper near the town of Loev, Berezina near the town of Berezino and Svetlogorsk, its tributary to the Svisloch River near the village of Terebuty, Sozhe near the town of Slavgorod, Pripyat near the village of Chernichi, its tributaries the Styr rivers near the village of Lopatino, Goryn near the village of M. Vikorovichi, Sluch near the village of Lenin, Stviga near the village Korotichi, Ubort near the village of Krasnoberezhye and Ptich near the village of 1st Slobodka. On the Pronya river, a tributary of the Sozh, near the village of Letyagi, the water level reaches a dangerously high level.
In the coming days, no significant changes will occur in the ice conditions. On most rivers, an increase in water levels will be noted, on the tributary of the Pripyat, the Sluch River near the village of Lenin, the water level will approach a dangerous high mark.
