Overview of hydrological situation of April 24, 2026

As of April 24, a rise in water levels with a daily intensity of 1–14 cm is observed on the Neman River near the city of Grodno, the Dnipro River near the city of Zhlobin, the Berezina River near the city of Svietlahorsk, on some of its tributaries, and on certain tributaries of the Western Dvina, Sozh and Pripyat Rivers. On the remaining stretches of the above‑mentioned rivers, as well as on the Western Dvina, Viliya, Sozh and Pripyat Rivers, water levels are decreasing, with an intensity of 1–19 cm per day.
Floodplain inundation persists on the Dnipro River along the Zhlobin–Loew section, on the Sozh tributaries – the Besed and Iput Rivers – and on the Ptsich River, a tributary of the Pripyat.
On the Neman River near the city of Grodno, the water level remains below the threshold at which difficulties in river transport operation typically occur.
Water temperatures have not changed significantly and range from 4.8°C to 12°C in rivers, and from 7.3°C to 11°C in reservoirs.
In the coming days, falling water levels will continue on most rivers. As a result, on the Besed River, a tributary of the Sozh near the urban settlement of Svetilovichi, the water level will drop below the floodplain inundation threshold.
