Overview of hydrological situation of April 23, 2026

Over the past 24 hours, on the tributaries of the Pripyat River – the Styr River near the village of Lopatino and the Sluch River near the urban settlement of Lenin – water levels have dropped below the floodplain inundation threshold.
As of April 23, a slight rise (1–2 cm per day) in water levels is observed on the Berezina River near the city of Svietlahorsk, on the Viliya River near the village of Malyye Sviryanki, on some of its tributaries, and on certain tributaries of the Western Dvina, Western Bug and Sozh Rivers. On the remaining stretches of the above‑mentioned rivers, as well as on the Western Dvina, Neman, Dnipro, Sozh, and Pripyat Rivers, a stable trend or a decline in water levels is observed, with the rate of decrease reaching up to 38 cm per day.
Floodplain inundation persists along most of the Dnipro River and on some tributaries of the Sozh and Pripyat Rivers.
On the Neman River near the city of Grodno, the water level is below the threshold at which difficulties in river transport operation typically occur.
Water temperatures range from 4.6°C to 12°C in rivers, and from 7.3°C to 11°C in reservoirs.
In the coming days, falling water levels will prevail on the rivers. On the Pripyat tributary – the Ptsich River near the village of Pershaya Slobodka – the water level will drop below the floodplain inundation threshold.
