Moderate temperature conditions and good soil moisture availability over most of the republic are favorable for the development of agricultural crops. However, in several districts of the southern part of the republic, where a rainfall deficit persists, crops are experiencing a lack of soil moisture. In some areas of the Brest region, soil drought has reached the criteria of a hazardous agrometeorological phenomenon. The upper 10-centimeter layer of soil across most of the territory is in a moderately moist condition. In the southwest of the country, as well as in the east of the Mogilev region, weak moisture levels persist in the topsoil layer. Over the coming days, agrometeorological conditions will not change significantly. Expected rains will moisten the soil in an extremely uneven manner. In the southwest of Belarus, the moisture deficit will remain.
