Ongoing rainfall is maintaining good soil moisture availability for agricultural crops, which is favorable for their growth, development, and productivity. According to visual observations, the top 10-centimeter layer of soil is well moistened across most of the country. However, due to the uneven distribution of precipitation between the northeastern and southwestern regions of the republic, significant differences in soil moisture levels are observed. In the northeastern part of the republic, areas with excessive moisture have expanded. At the same time, in the southwest of the country, where precipitation remains scarce, weak moistening of the topsoil layer is observed.
In the coming days, expected rainfall will continue to be unevenly distributed, and moisture deficits may persist in the southwestern part of the republic.
