Overview of agrometeorological situation of May 19, 2026

The precipitation that has passed has improved agrometeorological conditions for the formation of grain crop yields and grass regrowth. Good moisture levels in the topsoil layer are observed over most of Belarus. In a number of districts where the heaviest rainfall occurred, the topsoil layer is overwet. The soil has warmed up to +15–+20°C, which is favorable for seed germination and the emergence of seedlings of the most heat-loving crops. Good conditions are developing for planting potatoes, sowing corn and sowing grain crops.
In the near future, warm weather and sufficient soil moisture over most of the country will promote further growth and development of agricultural crops.
