Overview of agrometeorological situation of January 6, 2026

Over the past wintering period, no dangerous phenomena have been observed for most wintering crops. In early January, when the lowest air temperatures were observed, the soil temperature did not drop to dangerous values at the depth of the tillering node of winter crops. Only in places in the south-west of Belarus, where snow cover was very scarce or absent at that time, partial damage to winter rapeseed is possible. 
According to the latest data, the snow height in the fields has increased in most of Belarus, such a snow cover should protect the main areas of winter crops from the expected frost increase in the second half of the week.
