The agrometeorological conditions for wintering crops are developing satisfactorily. Snow cover protects winter crops from low temperatures. In most parts of the country, there is a slight freezing of the soil, in some places the soil is thawed. Only in some areas of the southwestern half of the republic, the soil has frozen to a depth of more than 20 cm. Under high snow cover, with weak soil freezing, the temperature at the level of the tillering node of winter crops remains above optimal values, which can lead to increased nutrient consumption.
