Information on exceedances of standards for ambient air quality (from 20th to 26th of October, 2022)

The state institution "Republican Center for Hydrometeorology, Control of Radioactive Contamination and Environmental Monitoring" informs about the exceedances of the MPC standards for pollutants in the atmospheric air of the cities of the republic for the period from October 20 to October 26, 2022.

In the air of Mogilev in the lane Krupskaya, in the area of house No. 5 on October 24, 2022, the average daily concentration of solid particles, fractions up to 10 microns in size was 1.13 MPC (calm was observed, a westerly wind with a speed of 1-3 m/s, air temperature ranged from +6.0°C to +9.5°C, relative humidity – from 60% to 94%).

In the air of Polotsk in the area of residential building No. 9 on Yubileynaya Street on October 26, 2022 at 18:40 h. the concentration of nitrogen oxide was 1.09 MPC (there was a south-southwest wind with a speed of 1 m/s, haze, the air temperature was +9.8°C, relative humidity - 98%); at 19:40 h. – 1.07 MPC (there was a south-southwesterly wind with a speed of 2 m/s, the air temperature was +8.8°C, relative humidity – 99%).

In the air of Novopolotsk in the 8th microdistrict on October 26, 2022 at 19:00 h. the concentration of solid particles (undifferentiated dust/aerosol) exceeded the MPC standard by 1.22 times (there was a south-southwesterly wind with a speed of 2 m/s, the air temperature was +8.8°C, relative humidity – 99%); in the area of residential building No. 135 on Molodezhnaya Street – by 1.05 times (there was a south-south-westerly wind with a speed of 1 m/s, haze, air temperature was +9.7°C, relative humidity – 98%).
