Overview of hydrological situation of October 20, 2022
In the past period (October 15-19), small fluctuations in water levels were observed on the rivers of the country. On the Dnieper near Mogilev and Sozh near Slavgorod, water levels dropped below the marks limiting navigation, on the tributary of the Dnieper, the Ivnya-Bond canal near Budka village, the water level dropped below the water outlet mark on the floodplain.
As of October 20, a small (1-6 cm per day) decrease in water levels and their smooth course is observed in Vilia, Berezina, Sozh, Zapadnaya Dvina on the Surazh – Vitebsk section and near Polotsk, the Dnieper on the Orsha – Rechitsa and Pripyat section near Pinsk (Lyubansky m.). On the rest of the above rivers, as well as on the Neman and the Zapadny Bug, there is an increase in water levels.
On a tributary of the Pripyat river Sluch at the settlement Lenin the water level reaches the water outlet mark on the floodplain.
Unfavorable conditions for the operation of river transport are noted on the Neman near Grodno, the Dnieper near Mogilev and Zhlobin, Sozh near Slavgorod.
The water temperature is 6.2-11 °C in rivers, 7.4-9.6 °C in reservoirs.
In the coming days, fluctuations in water levels will be observed on the rivers, the water temperature will decrease.
