In the past period (December 22-23), weather conditions contributed to the clearing of ice formations of the Western Dvina near the city of Polotsk, Pripyat near the city of Chernichi and its tributaries of the Pina and Ubort rivers. The Berezina opened near the town of Borisov and Pripyat near the town of Petrikov, and the tributaries of the Western Dvina, the Usvyacha and Nacha rivers there is currently a landfast ice and ice drift.
As of December 24, freeze-up and freeze-up with openings is observed on the Western Dvina near the city of Surazh and the village of Ulla, its tributaries the rivers Krivinka, Obol, Polota and Drysa, the Dnieper near the city of Mogilev, the city of Zhlobin and the city of Rechitsa, Berezina near Berezino, Bobruisk and Svetlogorsk, Pripyat near the town of Mozyr, as well as on the Sozh tributary to the Besed River.
