Overview of agrometeorological situation of November 3, 2020
According to the results of instrumental determination of soil moisture, the reserves of productive moisture on the main massifs of winter grain crops are good. In some areas in the topsoil, moisture reserves remain elevated. Only in the Western part of the Republic, on light soils, the reserves of productive moisture in the 0-20 cm layer are satisfactory.
Unusually warm weather and good water availability in most of the Republic's territory contribute to the development of winter crops.
Warm weather expected in the first decade of November will extend the growing season of winter crops. For most of the decade, the agrometeorological conditions will be quite favorable for the completion of harvesting operations and for conducting winter tillage.
