Overview of agrometeorological situation of March 2, 2022

When re-growth in most of the observed fields, winter crops have normal viability. In the selected samples, mostly complete regrowth was observed or sparseness did not exceed natural death. A little increased sparseness of wheat and triticale was noted in single samples in Vitebsk and Gomel regions. Some meteorological stations in the northern region and in the eastern part of the republic recorded a slightly increased sparseness in winter rapeseed and colza, in separate samples of rapeseed in Mogilev and Vitebsk regions, 20% of plants or more died. Perennial herbs in all samples fully grew.
Under the influence of negative night temperatures, the upper layer of the soil has frozen over most of the territory of Belarus. The greatest freezing of the soil remains in the east, in the northern and northwestern regions of the republic.
