Overview of agrometeorological situation of February 2, 2023
Winter crops, according to the results of growing carried out at the end of January, have normal viability in most of the observed fields. In most of the selected samples of winter crops complete regrowth was observed or the sparseness was insignificant. Somewhat increased sparsity was noted in single samples of rapeseed. The condition of winter rapeseed in Gomel region is worse – more than 40% of samples showed increased and significant sparsity: partial freezing of underdeveloped crops occurred due to low temperatures and insufficient snow cover in the first decade of January. Perennial grasses showed good regrowth.
At the end of this week, under the influence of gradual cooling, the plants will restore their frost resistance.
